Director of Documentation & Localization · Original Author · Content Strategy · Information Architecture
When WP Squared was first developed, the product needed a documentation experience that could support users from day one — something clear, approachable, and structured enough to grow with the platform. As the original writer and strategist behind the documentation, I had the opportunity to shape not just the content, but the entire foundation of how users would learn, explore, and succeed with the product.
As Director of Documentation & Localization, I owned the full lifecycle of the WP Squared documentation from concept to launch. My work included:
• Writing all initial documentation for the product’s first release
• Designing the information architecture and content strategy
• Creating content patterns, templates, and naming conventions
• Building a structure that supported both onboarding and advanced workflows
• Publishing and maintaining the documentation site (although now, other writers contribute to the documentation)
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure accuracy and alignment
I started by mapping the product’s core workflows and identifying the moments where users would need clarity, reassurance, or deeper technical guidance. From there, I built a documentation structure that balanced simplicity with depth — intuitive enough for new users, but robust enough for developers and power users. I wrote every page with a focus on clarity, consistency, and a warm, supportive tone that made the product feel accessible.
• A complete documentation ecosystem ready at product launch
• Clear, intuitive navigation that supported both new and advanced users
• Consistent content patterns that scaled with product growth
• Reduced onboarding friction and fewer support escalations
• A strong foundation for future localization and expansion
